Photography is an art form!?
i totally agree. i believe that photography is one of the strongest art forms out there. it can express love, hurt,pain, joy and so much more. i love to take pictures. just the thought of being able to capture something that can change a life is mind boggling.... i like the pictures by the way.

not really an answer but I was in Birmingham during that period of history and that image brings back bad memories...
i think photography is art. but it depends on what you take i guess. like i dont think its art if you take like modeling photos. like on americas next top...but if its like the pics you posted or something like that, i think its an art. theres a commercial in my area for a photography course at an ART INSTITUTE. so yeah, its considered art whether people think so or not.
Yes, photography is an art form. Yes, it has and can change the way people see and perceive the world. An image can cause one to recall pleasant memories, it can also evoke emotions of anger, sadness, joy, an image can bring tears, or laughter. That is why it is art.
Some %26quot;artists%26quot; cop the elitist attitude that if you're not doing this %26quot;art form%26quot; or that %26quot;art form%26quot;, then you're not an %26quot;artist%26quot;. Architecture can be art. Furniture can be art. Floral arrangements can be art. If photography wasn't considered art, then it wouldn't be here:
