Does anyone else think Yahoo should not be proud of its recent headline?

The Headline about the first photos of one of the few tribes left in the world. Its not really a good thing, taking pictures from a helicopter and basically ruining the tribe. Yahoo shows it like its just a discovery of a new species when really they have just changed the belief system of a tribe who now either worships or fears helicopters. Is anyone else kind of annoyed by this?

I know...I was pretty appalled myself at the blatant disrespect for those people...flying around in circles photographing them like they're circus freaks or something. You can see them in one picture clearly terrified and trying to shoot at the helicopter. I just thought of those poor men seeing that and trying to defend themselves and their families from what must appear to be some sort of horrific monster to them. Just leave them alone.

isn't it funny that it isn't even a %26quot;new%26quot; tribe? the photographer lied to highlight the environmental issues with the logging industry.

How do you know the tribe has this fear? How does it ruin them? I saw the pix and didnt think anything of it. Add details.
maybe if they weren't painted like circus freaks, they wouldn't be photographed like circus freaks.

really, did you not read the story? yahoo's trying to raise awareness of illegal logging, that threatens this tribe and others like it. not to mention new species.
I did not read the whole article but i did see the photos and they were clearly scared. Imagine a UFO (if they exist) hovering over your back yard while you're in a swimming pool with your kids. The men clearly had a bow and arrow construction and were trying to ward off the helicopter. They were probably scared to death. by not knowing the tribe's practices they could have potentially forced this tribe to murder themselves. They don't know the tribe's beliefs and they may have something outlined that if they are ever attacked to take each others lives before being taken by an outsider.

Very sad in my personal opinion.

**A reply to David K...You can't expose them to everything that exists in this world that they have not known, and expect them to understand it and be okay with it. If all a person was ever allowed to drink was water until there were 40 and then you asked them if they wanted a soda..they would have no clue what you meant because water is all they have ever known. You cant just expose these people to whatever happens to be around. They've been secluded this whole time..they're like a wild animal. You wouldn't trap a buffalo and then put your child on it and expect it to adapt well...
I disagree. Just the ability to take advantage of modern medicine is a blessing. Besides why should these people be left without knowledge of this incredible world we live in.
