Why have you got such a baby?
Well if it was say the madonna appearing to three ladies in Portugal...or something of that nature...probably a lot...LOL
Maybe what you should be asking is what was the highest amount of money paid by a newspaper for a photograph, and what was it?
I%26#039;d be interested in knowing that myself.|||if the photo existed and if it could be exhibited to the newspaper and authenticated by the newspaper then there is no upper limit. i like the hypothetical but how would a simple photo change the whole world? Possibly a photo of a world changing event would be worthwhile but that was not the question - the question simply related to the photo(like a flower, a pond, whatever) Good idea, question poorly phrased.|||Why don%26#039;t you ask the %26quot;newspaper%26quot;?|||Many, many moneys.......|||I work for a regional daily newspaper, and a couple of years ago we covered Spaceshuttle Columbia%26#039;s disintegration over our area.
A local doctor got the photographs of the spaceshuttle%26#039;s explosion and submitted it to our paper. We turned the photo over to the Associated Press, and of course he made major bank. I don%26#039;t know the exact amount, but I know he did really, really well.
I hope that gives you an idea of what you could earn with a life-changing photo.|||Hi,
I%26#039;m intrigued. I%26#039;d love to know what this world-changing photo is of. It can%26#039;t be of a major breaking news event -- there would be too many other photojournalists there to take a similar photo.
Hmm.
My uncle has worked for 30 years as a photojournalist for the world%26#039;s biggest news wire agency in the world. When he was 18, he took such a photo -- it ran on the cover of Time magazine that week, and he%26#039;s been collecting residual income on the photo every month since then, from textbooks that run the photo, etc.
So, I suppose you could make quite a bit.
Cheers,
Sensational Luke
